Mount Zion Baptist
Church will celebrate
their first church service
for the year of 2016 on
Sun., Jan. 10 at 11 a.m.
The public is invited
to come and share this
time of thanksgiving and
praise to God for His
blessings. Pastor Isaiah
German will bring the
message.
I hope everyone had
a great Christmas celebration
with family and
friends, and gave thanks
for the blessings, mercy,
and favor from God. Let’s
all together strive to do
bigger and better things
for our families, friends,
community, and Country
this new year. We want to
make sure that we vote
this year for the best
candidate as we see it.
I had an increase in
my family this holiday.
I became a great-great
grandmother. We were
blessed with twins, a
girl and a boy. There was
also some drama with
one false alarm, but they
made it before the new
year. They are healthy
and doing fine.
We had one first response
call last week.
Ernest Greenlee was
taken to the hospital
and treated over night,
he is back home.
Mr. Winn, one of our
neighbors passed away
last week. We offer our
belated condolences
to the family. Clarence
Smith, of Wichita
Kansas, passed on
Christmas day. He was
formally from Gravel
Hill community. Clarence
was known for
researching our family
tree and connecting family
members with each
other. We considered
him our go to genealogist.
If you wanted to find
your relatives, he could
do it. Our condolences to
his wife Barbara and the
family. We will all miss
him very much.
Prayers for the sick
are still requested. Lela
James is in the nursing
facility, Greenlee at
homeland, Mary Crosslin,
recovering from a
bad cold and Waymon
Graves is home. Pray for
the peace of Israel and
for our Country. Pray
for the fear people are
experiencing and showing
such violent actions.
CHRISTIAN REFRESHER:
Psalms 34: 1-5 KJV
I WILL bless the Lord
at all times; his praise
shall continually be in
my mouth.
My soul shall make
her boast in the Lord:
the humble shall hear
thereof, and be glad.
O magnify the Lord
with me, and let us exalt
his name together.
I sought the Lord, and
he heard me, and delivered
me from all my
fears.
They looked unto
him, and were lightened:
and their faces were not
ashamed.
LOVE IS THE KEY!
