Mrs. Mavis Odesa Golston “Su” was born April 23, 1941 in Washington, Arkansas to the late Willie and Ada Bradley.  She was called home January 9, 2016 in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 74. Mavis attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in Washington, Arkansas.  She was employed at Tyson Foods over 30 years.  She joined Power House Church at an early age under Elder Nathaniel Marks.  She was one of the 1955 Saints.  Every time she spoke at church, she would always speak about the 1955 Saints.  She later united with Roadside C.O.G.I.C in which she was a member until her death.  She was a great mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Mavis loved to cook and bake.  She was best known for her homemade tea cakes and sweet potato pies. Mavis was united in marriage to the late Ed Golston, Jr. January 14, 1961; to this union three children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Shranda Wiley; four brothers, James Bradley, Billy Jo Bradley, Billy C. (Fuzzy) Bradley and John Bradley; two sisters, Bobbie Marie Bradley and Wilma White. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Brenda (Wilbert) Johnson of Ozan, Ronnie (Sophia) Golston of Nashville and Bobbie (Walter) Richards of Ozan; grandchildren, Christopher (Whitney) Golston of Hope, Tiffany (Justin) Williams of Nashville, Kiffany Golston of Ozan, Brandi Golston of Nashville and Jakeryon  Brown of Ozan; one brother, Walter (Bonnie) Bradley; two sisters, Shirley (Ira) Maxey and Bobbie Ann Bradley all of Ozan; special nieces, Shayla Hicks Vickers and Mary Jo Christopher; special friend, Mammie Staggers; special sister-in-law, Minnie Bradley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held 11am-5pm Friday at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, January 16 at Roadside Church of God in Christ in Ozan.  Burial will be at The Academy Cemetery in Washington.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
