Mr. Ronnie Porter, age 65 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016. Mr. Porter was born August 3, 1950 in Magnolia, Arkansas, to Robert “Bob” and Pauline Patterson Porter. Mr. Porter was of the Christian Faith and he was co-owner of Hope Novelty Vending. His favorite hobby was fishing and hunting with his friends. He was a loving son and he loved his children and grandchildren. Mr. Porter is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Porter. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Linville of Hope; his father, Bob Porter and his wife, June, of Hope; three sons, Tony Porter of Nashville, Marty Porter of Alexandria, Louisiana and Jeremy Linville and his wife, Eva, of Nashville; one daughter, Mandy Dixon and her husband, Matt, of Nashville; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Lee Porter, Peyton Lee Porter, Raegan McKayla Porter, Jayce Elizabeth Clark, Hayden Kyle Linville, Paxton Caleb Linville; one uncle, Richard Porter and his wife, Margaret, of Hope; one aunt, Vernice Harris of Greenville, Texas; one step-brother, Mike Barksdale of Prescott; his best friend, “Buddy” Mike Murphy of Hope; and other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with David Smith officiating.
