There have been no emergencies in the Cliffs this week
but there are still some urgent prayers requests for the
sick this week. Letha Watson is still in the hospital and
needs our prayers, also Waymon Earl Graves, Hattie Jean
Pauley, and Dorothy Bailey is getting better from something
she picked up in Atlanta during her holiday. Let us
lift up our President and this Country in prayer as they
are making right decisions for us all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a very special young lady, Jacqueline
Deloney, we wish you many more happy and
healthy years.
The winter activities are still in big swing at the river.
The hunters are still coming every day. There is word
that the hunt is successful. There is rich hunting on my
home place, and the hunters that are using it are doing
great. I hear the fish was plentiful during the rainy days.
Cardell Ware and his wife hosted the Wares’ Thanksgiving
Holiday dinner; they had about thirty guests. I
am happy to hear that the tradition of this family is still
going on.
CHRISTIAN REFRESHER; MATTHEW 1:21-25
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his
name JESUS: FOR HE SHALL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM
THEIR SIN.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring
forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which
being interpreted is God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel
of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife.
And knew her not till she had brought forth her first
born son: and he called his name JESUS.
Roland Piggee Baptist Church will celebrate the Anniversary
of their pastor, Rev. Richard and Rose Dixon
on Sun., Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. The public is invited.
