    NASHVILLE – A $15,000 grant
    made possible by Weyerhaeuser
    Corporate Giving was awarded to
    UA Cossatot.
The grant money will be used
along with $15,000 of college resources
    to renovate former warehouse
    space on the Nashville campus.
    The renovation will feature
    two classrooms, office space, and
    a 20-person computer lab. The
    computer lab will be multipurpose
but primarily used for basic programming
    and coding. The space
    will be named the Weyerhaeuser
    Computer Lab.
“We are proud to be able to assist
UA Cossatot once again with increasing
    educational opportunities
    and increasing technological skills
in our communities,” said Lilly Bell
    Johnson, Human Resource manager
for Weyerhaeuser. There is a long
    history of the partnership between
    UA Cossatot and Weyerhaeuser,
beginning in the 1990’s with the
opening of the satellite campus in
    Nashville.
“We are thankful for our long time
    partnership with Weyerhaeuser,”
    said UA Cossatot’s Chancellor
Dr. Steve Cole. “Now, we have a
    Weyerhaeuser presence on every
    campus. They have contributed
to the growth of all our campuses
    significantly.”
    The renovation began two weeks
ago and will be completed by this
    summer.
