School Board holds special meeting

DIERKS – The Dierks School
Board called a special meeting
last Wednesday at 5:00pm.
To begin the meeting, a
motion was made by Jeffrey
Mounts, seconded by Brad Garner,
and passed unanimously to
approve the purchase of a 2010
modular building from Horatio
School District for $10,000. The
building will house two classrooms
and has two restrooms.
A motion also passed unanimously
to accept Samantha
Manasco’s resignation as high
school teacher as of December
18, 2015.
The board then adjourned
to executive session at 5:25
pm to discuss personnel. They
returned to open session at
5:40 pm.
Another motion by Jeffrey
Mounts and seconded by Brad
Garner passed unanimously to
approve a $500 non-recurring
bonus for certified and classified
staff.
Having no further business,
the meeting adjourned at approximately
5:50 pm. Members
present were Presiding Officer
Todd Moore, Brad Garner, and
Jeffrey Mounts. Members absent
were Bubba McSpadden
and Karen Kitchens.
The Dierks School Board
meets regularly every second
Monday of the month at
6:00pm.
