Robert Ellis, 47, of Highland was born on November 2, 1968 in Murfreesboro, the son of Linda Kay McCauley Ellis and the late Reuben Willie Ellis. Robert was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Nashville. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Ellis; paternal grandparents, Reuben A. and Floy Jean Ellis; maternal grandparents, Bobbie Stephens and William B. McCauley. Survivors include: his loving mother, Linda Kay Ellis; one brother, William Brandon Ellis and wife, Brenda of Murfreesboro; two nieces, Kimberly Dawn Kilcrease and husband, Justin of Murfreesboro, and Amber Nicole Ellis of Highland; one nephew, William Tyler Ellis of Murfreesboro; 7 aunts, Patricia Rankin and husband, Ike of McCaskill, Peggy Lovewell of Ashdown, Cleatis McCauley of Murfreesboro, Martha Lamb of Murfreesboro, Mary Newberg of Fouke, Margaret Parker and husband, Roger of Mt. Carmel, and Christine Avery and husband, Antoine; three uncles, David Ellis and wife, Wanda of Murfreesboro, Claude Ellis and wife, Mille of Clarksville, Texas, and Raymond Ellis and wife, Ruth of Umpire. Numerous other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services will be on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Burial to follow in Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday before the service.
