Outlaws hold off Rattlers, Hornets go out with bang

The Dierks Outlaws squeezed out a 14-7 win over the Murfreesboro Rattlers Thursday night to finish the season in fourth place of District 7-2A.

The Outlaws will travel to face Conway Christian Friday, Nov. 13. CC finished the season 7-3 overall and in second place in District 5-2A.

The loss put the Rattlers in fifth place in 7-2A. They will also get on the road on Nov. 13 to face the winner of the District 3-2A Cross County-Earle game, which will be played Nov. 6.

The MS Hornets did not make the playoffs this season but finished the season with a bang, collecting a 60-28 win over the Spring Hill Bears.

Also Thursday, the Mount Ida Lions finished the season undefeated with a hard-fought 48-40 win over the LaFayette County Cougars.

The Gurdon Go-Devils also closed their regular season Thursday night with a 35-22 win over the Foreman Gators.
