Nola Lois Shelton Huffman, age 97, a lifelong resident of Green’s Chapel Community, Arkansas, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born January 8, 1918 in Lebanon/Green’s Chapel Community. She was a homemaker and a member of the Green’s Chapel Methodist Church. Mrs. Huffman was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Homer Harvey Huffman; parents, Robert Joseph “Bob” and Nellie Beatrice Priest Shelton, one daughter, Carolyn Cook; one grandson, Aaron Cook and one great grandchild. She is survived by one daughter, Laverne Robertson of Memphis, Tennessee; one son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Dora Huffman of Shreveport, Louisiana; one brother, John Shelton of Garland, Texas; a son-in-law, David Cook; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Huffman will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November, 7, 2015, in the Green’s Chapel Methodist Church with Bobby Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the Green’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Green’s Chapel Methodist Church. You may register on-line at www.wilkersonfuneralhomes.com
