Mr. Lawrence H. “Snooks” Williamson, age 84, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Horatio, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Wadley Regional Medical Center, Texarkana, Texas. He was born to Hubert and Grace Green Williamson in Horatio, Arkansas, on March 13, 1931. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the Williamson Community Church of Horatio. Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Pauline Hall, and Ben Williamson, his wife of over 53 years, Mary Catherine Whitley Williamson, and a grandson, Darin Hofert. He was blessed to find and is survived by his wife, Evelyn Black Williamson of Texarkana, Texas, one son, Kenny Williamson of De Queen, two daughters, Linda Padilla of Richland, Washington, and Sherry Dodd of Meridian, Idaho, a step-son, Jerry Black of Texarkana, Texas, a step-daughter, Karen Tipton, eleven grandchildren, Melissa Vantiger, Chad Hofert, Shane Williamson, Angela Gafford, Hollye Staley, Joy Richardson, Jason Black, Jill Black, Traci Thompson, Todd Tipton, Tami Hooker, twenty-two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Nedra Munn of Horatio, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Snooks Williamson will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 2, 2015, in the Williamson Community Church with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation was Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., at Chandler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clear Creek Cemetery, C/O Kathy Minor, Horatio, Arkansas, or the Williamson Community Church Youth Fund, Central Road, Horatio, Arkansas.
