Caddo Hills dropped two against Izard County last week with the girls losing 48-37 and the boys falling 58-44.
In the senior girls’ game Sara Bershers hit a pair of threes in the opening quarter, but the Lady Indians were outscored 19-11. The second period was all Izard County as they increased their lead by seven with a 14-7 run.
Izard County outpaced Caddo Hills 6-2 in the third, but the Lady Indians were able match their 13 point effort in the final period.
Jordan Powell led the Lady Indians with 10 points, followed by Rachel Dumont with four. Scarlett Beggs and Larissa Martin each scored three.
Jen King led Izard County with 23 points.
In senior boys action the Indians eased out to an 8-7 lead by the end of the first period. Izard County got hot in the second period, outscoring the Indians 23-12 to take a 30-20 lead at the half.
Izard County scored 13 and 15 respectively in the final two periods while Caddo Hills scored nine and 15 respectively.
Gavin Caldwell was the leading scorer for Caddo Hills with 16. Christian Duggan scored nine and Hagen Cimino scored eight. Alex Ramey scored six, Criskim Yang scored three and Josh Stone scored two.
