Indians take two at Emerson

Caddo Hills earned two wins at Emerson last week with the junior boys and senior girls coming away with victories.
The Junior Indians opened the series up with a 62-27 victory over Emerson. They jumped out to a 21-4 lead in the opening quarter and outscored them 20-8 in the second to take a 41-12 halftime lead.
Caddo Hills outscored Emerson 21-15 in the second half to earn the 25 point victory.
Cameron Gaither hit three 3 pointers and six field goals to lead the Junior Indians with 21 points. Ryan Franks scored 16 in the win, followed by Simon Whisenhunt with six. Colton Cowart and Jarrett Runyon each scored four. Drew Cureton scored three and Gage Galloway, Tate Dumont and Eric Salas each scored two. Conner Kincannon was 1-4 from the free throw line.
The Lady Indians emerged victorious in a thrilling 43-42 victory over Emerson.
Caddo jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the opening period, but Emerson rallied in the second to cut the Lady Indians lead to 17-16 at the half.
The teams matched one another point for point in the third, but the Lady Indians were able to escape with the win.
Rachel Dumont led the Lady Indians with 18 points, followed by Larissa Martin with 17 and Jordan Powell with four. Scarlet Beggs and Wisener each scored two.
Emerson’s only win came in the senior boys’ game which they won 66-53.
Hagen Cimino hit eight 3’s in the game and led the Indians with 30 points. Criskim Yang scored eight, followed by Josh Stone and Gaven Caldwell with six each. Terrick Hulvey scored three.
