Caddo takes two of three from Cossatot

Caddo Hills won two of three against Cossatot River School District with the Junior Lady Indians and the Indians coming away with victories.
The Junior Lady Indians and the Junior Lady Eagles fought to a 7-7 tie in the first period, but Caddo Hills seemed to find their groove in the second period with a 13-4 run.
Cossatot was able to cut Caddo’s lead in the third by two, but the Junior Lady Indians came away with a 30-21 victory.
Tracy Bershers led the Junior Lady Indians with 12 points, followed by Taylor Allen with 10. Abbi West scored five and Lilli Hunt scored three.
The senior Lady Indians suffered the only loss of the night for Caddo Hills, falling to Cossatot 37-35.
Caddo Hills jumped out to a 10-6 lead in the first period and held a 19-16 lead at the half. Cossatot was able to take a one point lead in the third. They added a point to their lead in the fourth and won the game 37-35.
Larissa Martin led the Lady Indians with 11 points, followed by Sara Bershers with nine. Bershers was 7-8 from the free throw line and Martin was 3-4.
Jordan Powell scored six, Rachel Dumont scored five, Scarlett Beggs scored three and Wisener scored one.
The senior boys wrapped up the night with a 60-38 victory over the Eagles.
The Indians eased out front with a score of 11-9 in the first period and entered the lockerrooms at halftime with a narrow 23-21 lead.
Caddo Hills opened the third quarter on fire with Hagen Cimino hitting three 3’s as the Indians went on a 22-10 run. They outscored Cossatot River 15-7 in the fourth to earn the 22 point win.
Cimino put on a three pointer clinic, hitting nine from beyond the 3 point line. He had 28 points on the night to lead the Indians in scoring.
Gaven Caldwell scored 13, followed by Christian Duggan with nine, Criskim Yang with six and Matt Standridge with four.
