Annual General Assembly at Free Christian Zion Church of Christ

Cooler evenings, shorter nights, and brown, crisp
leaves provide Nature’s hints the fall season has arrived.
This happens with certainty each year; so it has become
with the Annual General Assembly at Free Christian Zion
Church of Christ.
Activities for the event will begin on Nov. 26, and will continue
through Nov. 29. The schedule of events is as follows:
On Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day), there will be a Thanksgiving
Breakfast at 9 a.m., followed by the calling of the roll
and Organizing at 10 a.m. A sermon will be given at 11 a.m.
The evening services will start at 7:30 p.m. with singing and
will be followed by a devotional and sermon at 8:30 p.m.
Nov. 27 will start at 2 p.m. with reports from Zion boards,
and a discussion topic of “What does Power Mean? According
to Acts 1:8” will be held. Participants in the discussion
will be Sister Gladine Thompson, Brother Demauria
Burchette, Sister Crystal King, and Sister Bettye Hale. A
sermon will follow the discussion. Evening services will
begin at 7:30 p.m. and will consist of singing, followed by
a devotional and a sermon.
Nov. 28 will only have evening services. Singing will begin
at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a sermon at 8:30 p.m.
Nov. 29 will wrap up the special services. Sunday school
will be held at 9:30 a.m., along with a devotional and singing,
followed by a sermon. There will be a closing program
and musicial held at 2:30 p.m., under the direction of the
Free Christian Zion Choir. Special guests will be the F.C.
Douglasville Choir, True Deliverance Choir, The Nelson
Wonders, The Heavenly Five, and the Spiritual Wonders.
Everyone is invited to attend.
