Taylor pleads guilty to sexual assault charges

    taylor, kevin - rape webA Norman man plead guilty to a pair of sexual assault charges that were the result of an incident that occurred in April during a camping trip.
    Kevin Taylor, age 31 of Norman, plead guilty to one count of sexual assault second degree, a class B felony, and an amended charge of sexual assault first degree, a class A felony.
    He was originally charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault second degree, but the rape charge was amended to sexual assault first degree.
    According to court documents attained from the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office, Taylor, was arrested July 10 as the result of an investigation into alleged misconduct involving two minors.
    Police reports stated that a woman alerted the sheriff’s office of a possible inappropriate situation at a rent house she owned. She stated that she had seen Taylor in bed with a minor and it gave her a bad feeling. She also stated she wanted him to vacate the premises.
    Court documents revealed that through the course of the sheriff department’s investigation they uncovered an alleged incident that occurred in April involving two minors during a camping trip.
    Taylor was sentenced to 180 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for the one count of sexual assault second degree and 240 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for the one count of sexual assault first degree. The sentences will be served concurrently.
