Patricia Thomas
will be retiring from
Arkansas State Parks
in October 2015. She
started with Arkansas
State Parks on April
23, 1985. Thomas has
a distinguished career.
She started out as a
seasonal employee
in the restaurant at
Crater of Diamonds
State Park. Was hired
as a full-time clerk in
the gift shop in 1987.
She then continued her
career advancement
when hired as a facility
manager at DeGray
Lake Resort State Park.
An opportunity allowed
her to return to Crater
of Diamonds State Park
as the facility manager
of the Visitor Information
Center / Gift Shop.
In this position, she
dedicated the majority
of her career. Later,
she moved on to be
the Sales Director at
Historic Washington
State Park. Finally, to
be closer to home, she
was hired as the Front
Desk Clerk at Daisy
State Park. She has
now decided to start a
new chapter in her life.
We, the staff of Crater of
Diamonds, invite you to
assist us in helping her
celebrate the closing of
this chapter.
