Mildred Vera Webb

Mildred Vera Webb died Sept. 25, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Olen Webb; her sons, Olen Ambers and James Randy Webb; her parents, Mary Francis Manning and Luther Manning; brothers James T. Manning and Carl Manning and sister, Evelena Brown.

Survivors include: her sisters, Reba Merchant, Virginia Watson, Shirley Boxley and Kaye Halpin; her son, Terry M. Webb; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015 at Belton Cemetery near Nashville under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

Janette Wilson Pledger 10241939 08032015

Janette Wilson Pledger

Janette Wilson Pledger, 75, of Pace, Fla., passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015. She was born Oct. 24, 1939 in Mena.

Janette grew up in Nashville, graduating from Nashville High School in 1957 and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1961. Janette was a lifelong educator and librarian, teaching in various schools throughout her tenure. Janette enjoyed many hobbies but none surpassed her love of a playing a good card game, preferably bridge or canasta, reading a great book or watching Arkansas football!

Janette was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Janie (Woodruff) Wilson, both longtime residents of Nashville, and the love of her life, Edward “Tally” Pledger.    Janette and Tally were married for 46 years, from Aug. 16, 1964, until his death on Dec. 3, 2010.

Janette is survived by two children, her son, Thomas Pledger of Tampa, Fla., and her daughter, Tracy Davis (Trey) and three grandchildren, Michele Pledger, Tanner Pledger and Paxton Davis all of Pace, Fla. She is survived by her aunt, Carolyn Ellis of Nashville, and an uncle, Phil Wilson (Virginia) of Fayetteville, and many family and friends that loved her.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 9 at the First Methodist Church, Nashville.   Visitation is at 1 p.m. followed by the service at 2 p.m.

Ruthie Jean Wesley

Ruthie Jean Wesley, 56, of Arkadelphia, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs.

She was born March 8, 1959, in De Queen, the daughter of the late David and Earnease Polk Allen.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Dove, and a sister, Judy Eudy.

Survivors include: two daughters, Leigha and Morgan Wesley both of Arkadelphia; two sons, Jared and Dakota Wesley both of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Wayne Dove and wife, Rita, of Russellville, and David Allen of Hope; two sisters, Sharon Kesterson and husband, Ronnie, and Debbie Stone and husband, Jackie, all of Dierks.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct.3, 2015 at the Pine Street Church of Christ in Arkadelphia with Roger Genung officiating.

James William Harberson

James William Harberson, 81, of Ashdown, died Sept. 26, 2015 in Ashdown.

He was born Feb. 14, 1934 in Dierks, to the late Bill and Leetha Harberson. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Harberson; and a sister, Florene Ford.

Survivors include: a son James W. Harberson and wife, Ginger, of Ashdown; a daughter, Deborah Ward and husband, Charles of Ogden; also grandchildren and great grandchildren.

No services at this time.

Mary Pipkins

Mary Pipkins, 69, of Delight, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015 in Delight, Ark.  She was born on Oct. 23, 1945 in Murfreesboro, Ark., the daughter of the late Joe Lamb and Winnie Mae (Tolleson) Lamb.       

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and one sister.

She was a member of the Saline Church of Christ.

Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, Harold Pipkins of Delight; 4 brothers Dewey Lamb of California.; Charles Lamb and wife Kathy of Rogers, Ark.; Floyd Lamb and wife Dora of Texarkana, Texas; Kenneth Lamb and wife Melba of Oden, Ark.; 3 sisters Lorraine McLaughlin and husband Don of Nashville, Ark.; Frances Frazier and husband Wayne of Daisy, Ark.; Virginia Irvan of Mountainburg, Ark.; 1 brother-in-law; and a number of nieces and nephews.

 Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct.1, 2015 at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro with Bro. Wallace Alexander and Bro. Larry Miller officiating. Burial to follow in Delight Cemetery in Delight under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel, Murfreesboro.
