LITTLE ROCK – Many families in Nashville depend on the
help they receive from Bread of Life soup kitchen.
Due to the rapidly growing need, Senator Larry Teague
recently presented Bread of Life with a $1,000 check.
The $1,000 grant was made possible because of the
member’s participation in Serving up Solutions. The annual
Serving up Solutions event, a fundraising dinner sponsored
by the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, features members of
the Arkansas General Assembly as servers. Each “server” is
awarded a grant from the proceeds, which goes to alleviating
hunger in his or her district.
“Senator Teague has chosen an organization that relies on
the generosity of others to keep their community fed,” said
Kathy Webb, executive director of the Hunger Relief Alliance.
“We thank Bread of Life soup kitchen for their dedication
and hope this grant will encourage others to see the work
they do and contribute to this much needed hunger relief
organization.”
