The group of 16, which included 11 youth and five adults, were wrapping up a week of biking in the Central Arkansas area. Scott Shumate, the coordinator of the group, stated that they had started Sunday with the trails around Iron Mountain. They have biked the LOViT Trail and planned to finish the week with the Lake Ouachita Trail and the Womble Trail.
he stated that they work with youth who either struggle with drug addiction themselves, or they have family members who struggle with addiction. Mountain Biking is one of the tools used by Cornerstone Recovery as they work with the youth.
The group camped at local campgrounds while staying in the area.
