A magic performance will be held in the Old Norman High School Auditorium on Saturday morning, beginning at 11 a.m., October 17, during the Norman Fall Fest.
Bob Driggers, a 1960 graduate of Norman High School, is Baffling Bob, the Magician. Driggers dabbled in magic tricks as a teenager and later when he worked for Central Power and Light in southern Texas, the company was so impressed with his ability that he was solicited to develop a program that used his magic skill while promoting electrical safety for public school students in 45 counties of southern Texas.
Driggers is a former president of Ring 269 of South Texas International Brotherhood of Texas Magicians. He has been inducted into the Brotherhood of Proclamation of Knighthood, Order of Merlin. He attended Magician Conventions in Las Vegas where he rubbed shoulders with world famous magicians.
Baffling Bob will provide magical tricks and illusions that appeals to all ages. Admission is by donation only, and all proceeds will go toward an on-going fundraiser to build a handicapped ramp and bathroom in the old Norman High School.
