Michael C. Delaney, 46, of Delight, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 12, 2015. He was born August 24, 1969 in Eugene, Oregon, the son of the late William (Son) Delaney and Carrietta Delaney, of Delight. He leaves behind his family and many friends to mourn his passing. Michael is preceded in death by his father, William (Son) Delaney, and sister, Linda (Delaney) Hecke. He is survived by his mother, Carrietta Delaney of Delight; his sister, Michelle Delaney of Delight; one brother, David and sister-in-law, Darlene Delaney of Salem, Oregon; his wife, Jennifer; and a special second father, Pat Davis of Delight; two nephews; five great nieces; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Michael was a Christian man who was devoted to caring for his family. He loved serving his community and helping those in need. Michael was a business owner, and dedicated Fire Chief, son, brother, and friend. A man who will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville, AR from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville, Arkansas at 10:00 AM with Brother Jim Henderson, Brother Roger Genung, and Brother Pat Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Delight Rural Fire Department, 5125 Hwy 301 S., Delight, AR 71940 in care of Betty Rhodes.
