Margie L. Hoover, 83, of Delight, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born on June 29, 1932 in White Cliff, Arkansas the daughter of the late Roy Roland Lockeby and Zea (Whisenhant) Lockeby. Mom was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, and friends to all who knew her. She worked hard at everything she did. Her love for her family and friends was most important to her. Along with the love and care for her “critters”. Gatherings at “Mam Maws” for Sunday dinner was a favorite of hers. Best known for her fried deer steak with purple hulled peas. Making her home made sauce for our annual Hoover BBQ held each year. She touched the life of many and we will miss her dearly for the rest of our lives. We love our Mom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Hoover; and siblings, George, Dale, JT, Verna, William, and John. She is survived by her four sons, Ricky Hoover and Terry of Murfreesboro, Theo Hoover and Connie of Foreman, Clifford Hoover and Cheryl of Murfreesboro, and Kenny Wofford of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Christine Walker and Tommy of Murfreesboro, and Penny Robinson of Rowlett, Texas; one brother, Luther Lockeby of DeKalb, Texas; three sisters, Betty Pipkins of Delight, Sue Keagley of Tom, Oklahoma, and Juanita Hilliard of Nashville; 8 grandchildren, Tina Cothern, Lakota Hoover, Gage Hoover, Craig Hoover, Kelly Campbell, Josh Hoover, Nick Hoover, and Brady Hoover; 11 great grandchildren; including nieces and nephews along with many loved friends and extended family. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Burial to follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
