Phil Kennedy, 55, of Nashville, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on September 22, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of the late Herman R. Kennedy and Syble (Miller) Kennedy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nashville and sang in the First Baptist Church Choir. Phil was a member of the Texarkana Bowling League and worked as a Lab Tech for Cargill Pork in Umpire. Phil was an avid deer hunter, a good christian man and loved his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Kennedy. Survivors include, his wife, Melissa Kennedy of Nashville; two sons, Michael Kennedy and wife, Lacey of Arkadelphia, and Chris Kennedy of Jonesboro; one step-son, Billy Merrell of Ashdown; one daughter, Malisa Kennedy of Nashville; one granddaughter, Addison of Arkadelphia; one brother, Gary Kennedy and wife, Catherine of Bella Vista; one sister, Sheila Losey and husband, Steve of Tucson, Arizona; father-in-law, W.A. Bush; mother-in-law, Charlene Bush; brother-in-law, Andy Bush and wife, Karen of Pike City; and one sister-in-law, Janet Parker and husband Eric of Ashdown; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends also mourn his passing. Memorial Services will be on Thursday August 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Nashville with Brother Kevin Sartin, Brother David Blase and Brother Jarod Hendry officiating.
