dennis and melissa davisDear Caddo Hills Voters,
I am Dennis Davis, running for Position #2, Caddo Hills School Board. I want to serve on the Caddo Hills School Board for the education of your children and mine. I want the best for the teachers, para-professionals, and Administrative staff that work diligently to provide a safe environment conducive to learning for all students at Caddo Hills.
I am a family man with morals and ethics grounded deep in southern up-bringing.
Eight years ago, Melissa, my wife of twenty-seven years, and I decided to move our two children, Coby and Gracie, now a senior and seventh-grader respectively, to Hopper along the beautiful banks of South Fork Creek.
My family and I started visiting the Caddo Gap area 10 years ago. We enjoyed vacationing in cabins along the Caddo River and getting acquainted with the friendly people in the area.
It wasn’t long until we made friends. Many have become very close to us, so much that we think of them as family. The first time Melissa and I put our feet in the Caddo River; we knew this was home.
Our endeavor to find a home brought us back to the area every weekend. We visited Caddo Hills School four times and researched it well. We highly valued the school, the teachers, and the community. Coby and Gracie and felt safe and loved the school environment, the teachers, and staff.
Coby and Gracie’s youth are formative years and I want to be involved as much as possible. That is why I am always eager to volunteer my time. I’m president of the CYAA, help the trap team, FBLA and have helped with various fund-raisers. I am always willing to help out at the school.
Volunteering my time allows me the opportunity to spend time with my kids and get to know many of your kids. The school is blessed with many bright and talented students.
As for my professional experience, I have been in the oil and gas industry for thirty-three years. Fifteen years ago I started Davis Consulting. Today it is a competitive and successful company within the oil and gas industry.
As the CEO of Davis Consulting, I am often required to set on various boards with oil and gas companies. These Boards require my expert opinions as well as in-depth research for decisions that will affect many in their jobs. Being the owner of a business requires me at times to make tough and direct decisions. All decisions I make, are well researched and made in the best interest of my employees.
I assure you all decisions I make as a Caddo Hills School Board member will have the same attention to detail and research that I give Davis Consulting. The students, staff, faculty, and community deserve the BEST.
Your vote will be greatly appreciated!
Appreciatively,
Dennis Davis
