The Howard County Republican Committee has announced filing fees for the 2016 county and township races.
According to Chairman Robert Williams, anyone who hopes to run in the Republican primary will pay a filing fee of $25 regardless of what office they intend to seek. All candidates will be required to furnish written evidence for payment of all party filing fees and all party pledges to the County Clerk before noon Mon., Nov. 9.
The filing period for all offices begins at noon Nov. 2 and concludes at the same time Nov. 9. The preferential primary and non-partisan judicial election is set for March 1 next year.
