Mrs. Judy Axton Gillespie, age 62, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, July 20, 2015 in Texarkana. She was born February 27, 1953 in Dierks, Arkansas. She was a registered nurse who worked with her Wadley Hospital family for 33 years, and was a member of the Eylau United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends and was looking forward to spending time with her first grandchild. Mrs. Gillespie was preceded in death by her parents, L.T. and Estaline Axton; and her husband, Jimmy Wayne Gillespie. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brittany Anne and Seth Nugent of Texarkana, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Howard Killian of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Harold Axton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Carroll and Sarah Axton of Bastrop, Texas; a niece, Stephanie and Mitch Francis; a nephew, Steve and Jennifer Killian; great nieces and nephews, Nick and Jennifer Francis, Matt Francis, Tom Killian, Katie Killian, Hannah Killian and Zak Killian; and a special friend, John Holder. Visitation for Mrs. Gillespie will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 in the Eylau United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Paula J. Behrens and Rev. Kevin Herrington officiating.
