Lorena Smoke Harvey, 101 of Hot Springs passed away Sunday, July 5th, 2015.
She was born April 5th, 1914 in Caddo Gap to Jess William and Susie Rhodes Pierce.
Mrs. Lorena really loved her family; she enjoyed spending time with them, especially in Murfreesboro, digging for diamonds. She liked to square dance, and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Simply stated, Lorena was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Lorena leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Smoke; son, Bobby Smoke; and great-great-granddaughter, Madison Hoover.
Cherishing her memory are her son, Phil Smoke (Linda) of Norman, Arkansas; and her daughter, Berniece Sanders (Eugene) of Yukon, Oklahoma. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Tammy Pittman, Johnny Smoke, Brenda Smoke, Bryan Smoke, Bobbie Lyn Stewart, Susie Malloy, Larry Sanders, and Cheryl O’Bannon; seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Sam, Josh, Chad, Adair, Lindsey, and Cole; and one great-great-grandson, Malachi.
Graveside funeral services was held 2:00pm Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Eugene Sanders.
