Lance Carpenter to headline Crystal Music Festival

    carpenterThe 3rd Annual Crystal Music Festival welcomes Kinsey Sadler and Lance Carpenter to the Board Camp Crystal Mine in Board Camp, Sat., July 18.
    The event will open at 11 a.m. with the Polk County Marine Corp Color Guard, with George O’Daniel. Fallen and Standing Heroes will be honored at 5 p.m.
    Music will be a part of the event all day with local bands sharing the stage throughout the afternoon.
    Kinsey Sadler, a Tulsa, Okla. Native, will also perform. She is known for her strong performances and  her rockin’ country music sound.
    The headliner for this year’s show will be country singer-songwriter Lance Carpenter.
    Carpenter, originally from Ozark, Ark., is one of the fasting rising stars in Nashville thanks in part to his hit “Love Me Like You Mean It” co-written and recorded with Kelsea Ballerini.
    He learned to play guitar while growing up on his family’s farm. He went on to play football at Arkansas Tech University before moving to Nashville, Tenn. to pursue a career in country music.
    Rock hounds will be able to dig for crystals during the day and festival foods will be available. Lawn chairs and small coolers are allowed, but pets are not allowed.
    Concert tickets will be $10 at the gate for persons age 12 and up, and children under the age of 12 can attend at no charge. The same pricing applies for digging at the crystal mine.
    Parking is free and local volunteer fire departments will assist with parking for donations.
