Due to personal issues, the annual 4th of July fireworks display on Lake Greeson will not take place this year, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lake Greeson Field Office.
The firework display has been hosted at the lake by the David and Debbie Haak family for at least the last 15 years. The fireworks are visible from most parts of the lake as they are launched from a dock near the Cowhide Cove homesites.
The Haak family is hoping to restart the fireworks tradition next year.
