Nashville student places second in national Microsoft competition

Shayla Miller of Nashville placed second in the nation in Microsoft Office Word 2013 during the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship June 18-20 in Orlando, Fla. Miller and NJHS teacher Kim Conant attended the competition. More than 90 students were tested on six applications. Miller was the only student from Arkansas to place at nationals. She was NJHS FBLA president and District IV FBLA-ML vice president last year. She is the daughter of Bobby and Becke Miller.
