Michael Brent Helms, age 37, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at his home. He was born April 22, 1978, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a rancher, a reserve police officer for the City of Dierks and was a member of Old Time Gospel Church. Brent enjoyed fishing and mudding. Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loel and Rosa Lee Phillips and Arvin and Flossie Helms. He is survived by his parents, Jerrel and Rose Anne Helms; one sister and brother-in-law, Scarlette and J.D. Jones all of Lockesburg; two daughters and a son-in-law, Autumn and Mason Jester also of Lockesburg and Kinleigh Helms of De Queen; one grandson, Bentley Jester and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Brent will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, in Old Time Gospel with Keith Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
