Mr. Robert Allen Whitaker, age 83, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Nashville, Arkansas. He was born to Frank and Martha Gertrude Lewis Whitaker in Osborne, Ohio on August 26, 1931. He was a retired construction worker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Old Washington, Arkansas. He enjoyed a good debate, and visiting with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Maxine Riley Whitaker. He is survived by a son, Randy and Laura Ann Whitaker of Nashville; two grandsons, Andy and Zachary Whitaker of Nashville; four brothers, Don Whitaker of Springfield, Ohio, Bill Whitaker of Port San Luci, Florida, Howard Whitaker of Enon, Ohio, and Charles Whitaker of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a number of nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
