Gene S. Griblin, age 87, of Norman, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015.
He was born on February 19, 1928 at Black Springs, the son of Aura Griblin and Rhoda Jones Griblin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne “Bonnie” Griblin; his son, Mark Griblin; his parents; and his brother, Paul Griblin.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Glenda Sims of Greenbrier and Patricia Lappin of Mount Ida; six grandchildren, Michael Griblin, Tiffany Griblin, Cody Griblin, Rachel Lappin, Jacob Lappin and Joel Lappin; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. James Black officiating.
Interment was in the Black Springs Cemetery.
