Elsie L. Hulsey Sharp, of Hot Springs, AR departed this earth and entered heaven on May 4, 2015. She was 96 years old. She passed peacefully with family at her side as resident of Montgomery County Nursing Home.
She was born September 12, 1918 to the late Robert L. and Alice Godwin Hulsey.
She married the love of her life Clarence L. Sharp on January 27, 1933 and had three children.
She is predeceased by her husband of 72 years, two brothers, 4 sisters, son Willie L. Sharp, grandson Robbie Sharp and a great-great-grandson Nicholas Bishop Cobb and son-in-law Curtis Miller.
She is survived by son Willis (Pat) Sharp of Blue Eye, MO; daughter LaVaughn Miller of Hot Springs and daughter-in-law Ellen Sharp of Lonsdale. She had 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and many, many great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved dearly.
She loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors she could do with her husband. She loved her flower beds. Elsie was a member of Grand Chapel M.B.C. since 1967.
A special thank you to Montgomery County Nursing Home for taking care of her and treating her like family. She had several people who took care of her who were in fact her family. She was much loved by many of the employees. We will not forget Ms. Roselee Graves who took care of her and Clarence at their home.
Graveside services were held at Rock Springs Cemetery on Thursday, May 7 at 2pm with Brother Milton “Sonny” Porterfield officiating.
