He was born on April 23, 1945, in Okolona, the son of Clarence David Wagley and Audie Self Wagley.  On July 16, 1970, he was married to Judy Carroll.  He was preceded in death by his son, James Darren Wagley; and his parents.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and attended Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Kirby.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, camping and loved bass fishing and enjoyed eating bass even more.  He was a loyal and true fan of the Kirby Trojan Basketball teams, always enjoying watching their games every chance he would get.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who dearly loved his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Wagley of Kirby; one son, Troy Schaberg of Alpine; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Chris Anderson and Misti and Kelsie Kropf all of Kirby; eight grandchildren, Steven Schaberg, Sydney Pipkins, Kenzie Boyd, Kerbie Anderson, Kortni Shelby, Kacie Anderson, Sean Schaberg and Braylee Kropf; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Gayle Gordon of Crossett; his stepsister, Ruth Lockwood of Delight; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Golden officiating.
Visitation was held Monday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Whisenhunt, Jimmy Tolleson, Billy Roberson, Pete Pedron, Ken Forga, Jacob Risner, John Garrett, Jerry Don O’Neal, Dr. Ahmad M. Safar, M.D., and the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice, 5th Floor, St. Vincent Hospital, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
