Janet Carson, state coordinator for the Arkansas Master Gardener program, will speak Thursday, April 9, in the fellowship hall of Grace Baptist Church, located on Hwy 70 East near Glenwood. Beginning at 2 p.m., the program is entitled “Getting Your Garden Off to a Good Start.”
Carson is well known for her leadership to consumer horticulture, with media work including a weekly column in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, a radio call-in program on KARN, and Today’s Garden TV show on AETN and cable stations. The hosts for this program are members of the West Central Retired Teachers’ Association. The presentation is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
