The Montgomery County Yarn Workers will be starting our 8th year in January, 2015! We accept yarn donations, then we knit and crochet items to be given away in Montgomery County. In 2014, we added several new crafters, and our total of hats, sweaters, scarves, slippers, afghans,  and many other items given away was 665! If you didn’t get a hat, please check with the principal at Mt. Ida Elementary. She volunteered to help us distribute those that were not picked up at one of our events last year. Now, we start anew! We will resume our knitting and crocheting each Friday at the Assisted Living Center in Mt. Ida. Come join us at 3:30. We teach yarn crafts at no charge and we can help you with patterns and questions. You won’t find a nicer group of folks, so just come visit, too. If you have yarn to donate, or if you know of a need for something we can make for a good cause, let us know. You can email:carol.stanfill76@gmail.com or call Kathleena at 867-5154 or Betty at 867-3894.
