Mr. Jessie Elbert Kesterson, age 93, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.
He was born November 15, 1921 in Umpire, Arkansas. He was a former employee of Weyerhaeuser, a poultry grower, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks.
Mr. Kesterson was preceded in death by his parents, John Calvin and Lillian Pearl Ransom Kesterson; his wife, Opal Pate Kesterson; one daughter, Joan Manley and one grandson, David Evan White.
He is survived by one daughter, Wanda White of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Lloyd Kesterson of Umpire and Homer Kesterson of Forks, Washington; three grandchildren, Krista Mitchell, Karen Manley and Kent Manley; five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Kesterson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in First Assembly of God Church in Dierks with Kevin Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at the funeral home in Dierks.
